Is “under 2MB” the same as 2 MB?Open
Most forms mean at or below 2,097,152 bytes. This page targets just under that cap so a portal that checks “less than 2MB” still accepts the file.
Will quality drop?Open
Pages are rebuilt as JPEG. Born-digital text PDFs lose selectable text. Scans usually stay readable at 2 MB unless they are long colour booklets.
Scanned PDF vs a Word export?Open
Phone scans are already pictures, so this compressor fits them under 2 MB easily. A 40-page text PDF is rasterized too — keep the original if you still need to copy text.
