No. Pages are drawn on a canvas in this tab, then a new PDF is downloaded from your machine.

Will text stay selectable?Open

No. This compressor rebuilds pages as images so the file gets small enough for portals. Keep the original if you need searchable text.

Scanned vs born-digital?Open

Phone scans are already pictures and shrink well. A Word-exported PDF is rasterized too, so copy-paste goes away.

Still too big after one pass?Open

The engine retries JPEG quality, then shrinks page pixels. Drop fewer pages or split the file if it still misses the cap.
